Distribusha’s Medical Equipment Courier Service  

Surface Imaging Solutions (SIS) is one of the UK’s leading dealer/distributors of dermatological-related medical equipment as well as being the UK & Ireland main dealer for Canfield Scientific. Based in London, the company contacted us to ask if we could collect their trade stand and displays, as well as the company’s Canfield Scientific Vectra WB360 and VISIA Veos imaging systems.  

We were asked if we could then transport everything to the 105th annual meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), the British Association of Dermatologists Conference 2025, being held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, approximately 400 miles away, and not only erect the display stand, but also ensure that all the equipment was fully functioning. To a degree the service we were able to offer SIS exemplifies what separates Distribusha from many other medical couriers, and that is our ability not only to collect and deliver medical equipment, but also the skill and expertise of our individual couriers who have the knowledge to install and that equipment in fully operational condition. 

The final request was that once the exhibition was over, we dismantle everything, pack it all up securely and deliver everything back to London. 

The following is a brief of the entire exercise, from start to finish:

🛠️ Delivering Precision: Setting Up Surface Imaging Solutions’ Stand at BAD 2025

🔧 The role of Distribusha as a medical logistics provider  

Distribusha was entrusted to handle the full scope of logistics and setup involving the transportation, erection and dismantling of SIS’ stand and technical equipment, including: 

• Safe transportation of Canfield and VISIA Veos imaging systems and branded materials from London to Glasgow 

• Careful assembly of pop-up stands, modular displays, and branded backdrops for the beginning of the event on July 1. 

• Installation of sensitive technical equipment 

• Positioning and arranging demo furniture 

• Final dismantling, repackaging and return delivery to SIS in London on July 3, 2025

Arrival at an Empty Stand 
Upon arrival, the stand space was empty. Equipment, tools, banners, and machines were all staged for efficient assembly. 

• Unpacking & Initial Setup 
  We unloaded and positioned all components, carefully organising fragile items such as imaging systems and display monitors. All protective packaging was carefully retained for re-use for the return journey and to also minimise waste. 

• Assembly in Progress 
  We installed the modular frame systems and large-format printed banners for both Canfield and Vectra branding. 

• Equipment Installation & Testing 
  All medical imaging equipment was unpacked and assembled with precision. Once positioned, we connected all systems and ensured everything was in perfect working order. 

• The Finished Stand 
  The result: a clean, professional and welcoming stand fully aligned with the Surface Imaging Solutions brand and ready for 3 days of showcasing cutting-edge technology. 

📦 Dismantling & Return 

Once the event closed on 03 July 2025, we returned to the SEC to dismantle the stand. Every item — from demo chairs to display tech — was repacked, loaded, and safely returned to London with no damage and no delays.
