What should you look for in a reliable technical courier service provider? 

In order to provide such an exceptional courier service, our team members must have considerable experience, tremendous technical knowledge, and a practical mindset. Add to that a fleet of fit-for-purpose vans to ensure delicate technical equipment can be safely and securely transported, and you have the perfect set-up. 

However, collecting and delivering technical equipment is only a fraction of the service we provide. Unless it is highly specialised equipment that requires a product-trained engineer to install it, we will aim to not just deliver technical equipment to your customers, but we will also look to install it and once operational, contact you to let you know that the delivery has been a complete success. 

Beyond that, we can also arrange to remove old or existing equipment, and if any of it requires repair as opposed to being discarded, we can transport the old equipment to the location where it will be repaired. Failing that, we are very keen to help our clients, and their customers operate in as green a manner as possible, so not only will we collect up all the packaging materials used when the equipment has been installed, but we will take the old machinery to be recycled. 

Finally, and as we are keen to remind all our clients, we look to provide you with peace of mind. In offering a technical courier service, once the equipment has been delivered and 

installed, where appropriate, we will then call you to give you a comprehensive update on the day’s events. 

How does outsourcing technical logistics work with Distribusha? 

As with every contract we have, it all begins with a phone call. You tell us what you need doing, and we tell you how we can help you achieve the optimum result. 

When it comes to transporting equipment, we will advise you how we expect to find it in terms of ‘ready for transportation’. It may need to be carefully wrapped, placed on a pallet, and if large, securely stabilised. In terms of installation at the other end, providing it does not require specific related skills that requires the knowledge of a qualified engineer, we are usually able to install much of the machinery and equipment we transport. We have the vehicles with tail lifts for larger and heavier equipment, and can provide a three-man team if necessary. 

You can then advise us what you require done with the packaging – it may be packaging you can reuse, or it may simply need recycling, we can organise both for you. 

It may be the equipment we are transporting is a temporary replacement, and the existing equipment needs to be brought back to your premises for repair, then returned and the whole process reversed. Once again, you tell us what you need done, and we can absorb all the hassle for you. 

Of course, technical logistics doesn’t always involve machinery and complex technical equipment. As we know from experience, part of our technical courier service involves the urgent collection and delivery of spare parts, which is also covered by our same-day courier service. In other words, we can deliver everything from a whole piece of machinery to a simple fuse for that machine!
