Manchester is often overlooked when it comes to thinking about commercial hubs in England. This would be a mistake as Manchester is perfectly located as a point of contact between the North and South of England, and it is only 140 miles form the M25 circling London, 160 miles from London city centre, and just 110 miles from the Scottish border, all as the crow flies. As for the city being a hub for businesses, well did you know that Manchester is home to the UK headquarters of JD Sports, The Co-operative Group and the Co-op, the Peel Group, THG, the Guardian Media Group, Kellogg’s, Umbro, Deloitte, Adidas and yes, that worldwide instantly recognisable product, Manchester United!
Why do businesses rely on a courier from Manchester to London and why is our courier service Manchester to London ideal for urgent shipments?
Today virtually every courier business is looking for an edge over its competitors. While price is an obvious factor and the product or service itself another, a third major factor is reliability and speed of delivery, especially for high-value products. Because Manchester is within just a few hours’ drive from so many cities, and especially London, it seems almost counterproductive to utilise the services of a distribution company for collection and delivery when invariably its first port of call will be a distribution centre and it won’t leave there until tomorrow. Your clients and customers are going to be seriously impressed with the way you do business if you can offer them same day delivery on certain items that they buy from you.
Beyond that, if you have come to Distribusha to help you with your needs for a London to Manchester courier, or a Manchester to London courier, and those needs are for a technical courier service or a medical courier service, wouldn’t you love to tell your customers that the cost of installation is included in the price of the product, and that if old equipment is being replaced that can be removed and a recycling certificate provided if they are keen to be seen as an environmentally friendly business.
What items can Distribusha transport with our courier service from Manchester to London?
The list of things we can’t transport is probably shorter than the list of things we can. We currently have a range of well-maintained vans from Transit size up to much larger vehicles with hydraulic tail lifts for bulky and heavier items. To a degree it is the size of our vehicles that dictates the maximum size of any products we can transport. For larger and heavier items, these will need to be on pallets and while we will then use a pallet truck to manoeuvre the goods onto the tail lift, we will also provide a team of up to three couriers to ensure the goods are loaded safely and undamaged. Provided an item or items do not exceed the maximum load weight for our vehicles, you can load your consignment onto the vehicle using a forklift truck if it is too heavy for our pallet truck, but we will only allow that in cases where we can be assured there is a forklift truck at the other end to unload the consignment.
How do we guarantee safety with our courier from Manchester to London?
Safety is paramount to Distribusha, and here we are not talking just about the consignments we deliver, we are also talking about our staff, clients/customers and your clients/customers. It seems almost a contradiction in terms to reassure you that we are fully insured for the value of goods transported and also public liability. However, we are also very much aware that many of the technical and medical items we deliver are urgently needed and if there is an accident, simply saying not to worry and the item was insured does not actually solve the immediate problem. Hence why we take extra care.
We have a stringent training programme here a Distribusha so that our couriers know how to correctly lift heavy items and which weights are too much for an individual to lift. Beyond that we look to ensure that all consignment are appropriately packaged prior to transportation, especially those being transported on pallets. If we feel that the item or goods may fall off the pallet during transportation, we will either ask for it to be repackaged, or we can arrange to repackage it ourselves.
Beyond that, we ask our couriers to assess the surroundings when collecting and delivering a consignment, making sure that the route from the vehicle to the final destination is free from obstacles, tripping hazards and people!
Why choose Distribusha for your courier service from Manchester to London
To a degree the answer to this question has been provided above, but the three main reasons are reliability, professionalism and price. They are the three aspects we concentrate most on to ensure we deliver an affordable yet highly professional and reliable service. Here at Distribusha, while we may be an independent family-run business, we are fully aware that when delivering a consignment, we are representing your company, and we have no wish to let you down.

FAQs
When should I use a same day courier service?
The simple answer to this question is when you need a package, item or document delivered urgently. However, if you want to impress a new or prospective client with your efficiency and ability to respond swiftly to their demands, same day delivery could create the right impression, especially as the saying is: “You only get one chance to make a good first impression).
What is a technical courier and what items can Distribusha handle with its Manchester to London technical courier service?
A technical courier delivers technical equipment, usually high-value items, that are classed as ‘low volume’ products. In other words sales may only be in the single-digit area per week. Our couriers are highly trained and skilled individuals who can not only safely transport costly technical equipment, but they can usually remove any existing equipment if it is being replaced prior to installing the new equipment and not leaving until it is 100% fully operational.
What do medical courier services include and how are they regulated?
Medical courier services involve the collection and delivery of medical-related equipment, often to ‘home patients’, such as breathing equipment, gas bottles, hospital beds, wheelchairs and other medical appliances. As such, these deliveries are not regulated. Those medical deliveries which are regulated include the transport of organic material, such as blood or donor organs for transplants, but Distribusha does not offer such a service.
Is a same day document courier service secure for confidential documents?
Yes, it is. What we ask is that any documents being delivered be provided in a tamper-proof document folder to ensure confidentiality. As a back-up, when the documents are delivered, we ask that the folder is checked to ensure it has not been opened in transit.
