Overview:
Distribusha has partnered with Canfield, a leading American company specialising in advanced skin imaging systems, to ensure seamless delivery and maintenance of their VISIA® Generation 7 units across the UK. At River Anaesthetics in Bournemouth, we had the opportunity to demonstrate our unique ability to combine bespoke technical courier services with technical expertise, ensuring uninterrupted operations for Canfield’s customers. We are able to do this by initially contacting the customer on behalf of Canfield to establish when the best time to deliver the new unit would be, a time that would cause minimal disruption to their clients.


The Challenge:
Canfield’s VISIA® units are renowned for their advanced skin analysis capabilities, but as high-tech devices, occasional faults require swift and expert intervention. At River Anaesthetics, a critical unit encountered a fault with its core, threatening to disrupt their operations and patient care. They required a replacement unit to be delivered and the imager to be in full working order as soon as was humanly possible. It was then, when we were contacted by Canfield’s UK distributor, and our help requested.
Our Solution:
1. Bespoke Delivery Service:
Distribusha arranged to collect the imaging system core and carefully transported it to the VISIA® unit at River Anaesthetics in Bournemouth. When we arrived, having carefully and securely packed it, it was still in perfect condition, ready for installation, which our experienced team performed. Every aspect of the delivery was handled with care and precision to protect this sensitive piece of equipment.
2. Technical On-Site Support:
When the unit developed a fault, Distribusha stepped in to resolve the issue as swiftly as possible:
· Diagnosis and Core Replacement: Upon arrival, our technicians expertly opened the VISIA® pod, removed the faulty core, and installed the replacement component, ensuring the unit was restored to full functionality and tested. Then we contacted Canfield to advise them that the imager was once again fully operational and their IT team can carry on with their online checks and settings of the new core.
· Secure Return Logistics: The faulty core was securely packaged and returned to Canfield for analysis, maintaining the unit’s lifecycle.

3. Clear Communication:
Throughout the process, Distribusha maintained transparent communication with both Canfield and River Anaesthetics, ensuring all stakeholders were kept fully informed. When requested, we also worked to synchronize delivery schedules with River Anaesthetics’ team to minimize disruption.
